About Spyware

Anti spyware?

I need an anti spyware program. On download.com, when i look for free ones, I download them, and after i use it, it says i need to register or in other words, buy the real version. I need a spyware program that not only scans my computer, but actually removes the threats. Does anybody know of any good reliable programs of this kind? Thank You.

  1. Go to Microsoft and download Microsoft Defender for a free anit spyware program. Seems to be ok. I have not had any problems with it YET!!
  2. There are quite a lot of anti-spyware programs which are free that are not just trials that need paying for. Some of these include: "Adaware" "Spyware Doctor" "Spybot Search & Destroy". Have a look on the internet for some of these and try downloading and installing them.

Eliminate an insidious pest that Spybot and Ad-aware can't stop. Even if your PC has Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, you still can't stop some versions of an insidious and virus-like pest called CoolWebSearch. Fortunately, a Dutch student who goes simply by the name Merijn wrote a tiny free tool called CWShredder that specializes in removing dozens of CWS variants. InterMute bought the program and now maintains it as a standalone download and bundled with SpySubtract Pro. 4. The best FREE ones are: Spybot Search & Destroy by Safer Networking: http://www.safer-networking.org/ And Ad-Aware by Lavasoft: http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ Used in tandem they are the closest thing to an invincible (IF there is such a thing!) duo as you can get for the price. I run my SS&D first and then the A-A to get stuff SS&D isn't designed to look for and to catch the occasional file that SS&D misses. By using two databases they back each other up. SS&D also protects your computer in a LOT of other ways while in it's Advanced Mode. You have to pay for the FULL version of CCleaner to get the same thing you can from SS&D for FREE!!! A-A, while free, has paid versions as well, but the free version works just fine! I've used both these progs since they came out years ago with GREAT results! I hope this helps. Good Luck!!!
  5. go to microsoft (microsoft.com) website and download windows defender or go to google.com and type free anti spyware programmes make sure you only clicj the free ones
